Visitors are persons
attending the Assembly part of the time or full-time. Normally
these persons are individual members of a member church, from
which an endorsement is requested. They have the right neither to
speak nor to vote. (For full
information about categories
of Assembly participants)
- Full-time Visitors must
register in advance. They must secure endorsement of their
church (i.e. their local LWF
member church) and must complete a
registration form through the Assembly
Office in Geneva.
- Visitors may attend
Assembly worship and plenary sessions (including Bible Study
presentations and open hearings) as space permits. There will be
room for about 2,000 visitors in the plenary hall. Worship will
take place in local churches. Visitors cannot participate in
Village Groups. The Sunday Celebration at The Forks is open to
all.
- In plenary sessions,
Visitors have neither the right to speak nor to vote.
- Visitors must pay their
own costs and make their own travel and visa arrangements.
- Full-time Visitors must
pay a registration fee of USD 150, in advance. They will receive
Assembly publications and the Assembly Songbook.
- Full-time Visitors may
register for the meal plan which will cost approximately
CAD 75 per day.
- Day Visitors are
individuals who wish to attend Assembly sessions on only one day
or a few days. They do not register in advance, but register on site at the Assembly. They do not pay
the Assembly registration
fee and therefore do not receive Assembly documents. Day
Visitors cannot
participate in the meal program. There is a daily cost of CAD 10
which allows them to join the morning and afternoon refreshment
breaks, and thus to meet with registered participants.
- No program has been
planned for children. Their care is the responsibility of
parents.
- Displays and exhibits
will be open to the public.
Full-time Visitors
If you wish to be a
full-time Visitor at the Assembly, please contact the head office of
your church. Indicate your desire to attend the Assembly, and
request that an endorsement letter (with your name and contact
information) be sent on your behalf to the Assembly
Office.
